30th WARD REUNION

Hi everyone,

Bishop Davis, Traci Goddard and myself are hosting a reunion in Orem, Utah on July 25th, for those of you who will be in the Utah area and want to have some fun! It will be at my parent's house - and we're going to have some serious ping-pong competitions, so you won't want to miss out. The time is still TBA (we'll let you know as it gets closer), but let me know if you have any questions - my email is marcie_bare@yahoo.com .

Thanks,

Marcie

Baby Girl!

Well, she has arrived! Not without some trauma (actually alot), but she is doing well. Cindy had to have an emergency C section as the cord was prolapsed between the baby's head and mommy. She arrived a 4:55 am and had to be revived, but she bounced back quick and is doing well and showing lots of spunk. Thank heaven for having a Dr. on the scene in the middle of the night and help from great nurses and a a pediatrician. Cindy is doing well, just very tired and looking forward to holding her new baby for the first time. She should be able to later this afternoon or evening. We will keep everyone up-to-date.

Mini Reunion in Provo

It was great to see Jared, Jed, Parker, Marcie, Tara, Jeri, Nikki,Arielle and Traci in American Fork this past week. They are all surviving Salt Lake and Provo and kind of missing Rexburg, I think. The good news, no new bets with Traci, and we get Jeri and Parker back in Rexburg. They will all be great BYUI Alumni Ambassadors some day.

The Osborn's had a Kid!

Sorry it's taken us a little while to get this post up, the first couple weeks of parenthood have been...well, sleepless :)

All in all though, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect little girl. Feel free to check out our website for more pictures and videos of little Quincy (conspicuously posted under the "baby central" tab on our family website).

BYU-I 30th Ward Group on Facebook

Did you know the BYU-I 30th Ward is is the largest group (member wise) of all the BYU-I ward groups on Facebook with 150? The 31st ward is a close 2nd at 142, the next group has 71. The 31st ward, those yellow clad crazies who always beat us at the 50-lap relay, have a great thing going. We can do even better, so get the word out to join this group. I am still convinced Bishop Sevy will lead the charge and we will be on top of the next relay as well.

30th Ward at Lagoon

It was a modest turnout, but so great to see Miles, Niccol, Holly, Marcie (with nephew Jared), and Tori. We had a great time, some great door prizes were randomly, kind of, given away, and it was a start to an annual tradition. Mark your calendars for July 26, 2008 for next years day at Lagoon, we will have a special section for 30th Ward alumni.

A Happy Time

Wow. I couldn't believe that the summer was over and we had so many people leaving. I had such a great semester and got to know so many people. I will be back in the ward next semester and look forward to getting to know a new bishop and new people, but I never will forget the good times with Bishop Davis. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made my semester better than ever! HAve a safe and great break everyone!:)

Mission Call!

Hey everyone! A few already know, but last night I got my mission call and I'm headed to the Argentina Rosario Mission! I report to the MTC on October 10, and in case you hadn't guessed I'll be learning Spanish. When it gets closer to time to leave, I'll post my address and farewell information here as well as facebook. Thanks for all the encouragement and everything! The 30th Ward is the best!

Thanks!

Favorite Memories

One of my favorite memories and pictures is of our Winter Semester 07 mud football game. It was wet, cold, muddy, and we had a blast. It was a great example of how fun an impromptu activity could be. We were all muddy, some more than others, especially those who did some slip and sliding through a mud hole. I was surprised that the sisters, particularly Puff, Marissa, Chelsee, Niccol, Fran, Janell, and Lyndi lead the way. It was a great day, and a huge mess to clean up afterward, but well worth it. We did have some sisters who could play ball as well and Fran could kick further than any of the boys.

30th Ward E-mails

Help us stay connected by sending up-to-date e-mail adresses of all your old roomates and friends of the 30th ward to daviss@byui.edu. Bishop Davis can then invite them to join our group!

Welcome to the BYU-I 30th Ward Blogspot

Hello,

This blog has been created specifically for 30th Ward members from 2004-2007. This will be a great place to share news, announcements, baby pictures, announce gathertings, and much more. We want to keep in touch!

To start things off, each July the Alumni Office hosts an Alumni Day at Lagoon (July 28 in 2007). Just because Bishop Davis just happens to be in alumni, there will be a special table reserved (each year) at the free picnic just for 30th ward members. Discount coupons, a savings of $12.95 per person, will be handed out by Bishop Davis himself at a booth in the front of Lagoon starting at 9:00 am (gates open at 10:00 am). The free picnic will be at the Meadow Park Terrace at 1:00 pm.

See you there!
